Hokkaido Refinery

Hokkaido Refinery

Hokkaido Refinery, located in Tomakomai City, is Japan's northernmost Refinery. It began operations in 1973 as a base supplying energy to Hokkaido, Tohoku, Hokuriku, and other areas. Hokkaido and other parts of northern Japan require a large amount of petroleum products, such as kerosene and diesel oil for heating. To meet these energy needs, Hokkaido Refinery is equipped with a cracker. In this way, we are working to increase the production ratio of petroleum products, which are in high demand, and to ensure a stable supply.

Hokkaido limited TV commercial

This film depicts the thoughts and feelings of employees working at Hokkaido Refinery on a daily basis through "invisible letters.'' An "invisible letter" written toward the sky transcends time and connects to the future. In preparation for the day when a newborn baby receives a letter, we created this design with the hope of coexisting with the local environment and protecting the safety and security of the local community through a stable supply of energy.
