CALP Standard Injection Molding Condition Table

Pre-drying	■Flame-Retardant Grades (Filler added) 110 to 120°C x 2 to 4hrs ■Flame-Retardant Grades (Filler not added) 80 to 90°C x 2 to 4hrs ■Non-Flame-Retardant Grades 110 to 120°C x 2 to 4hrs Pellets must be pre-dried before forming. Insufficient drying may cause defective phenomena such as silver streaks. Please use a safe type or hopper dryer for drying.
Cylinder Temperature	■Flame-Retardant Grades (Filler added) 170 to 230℃ ■Flame-Retardant Grades (Filler not added) 170 to 210℃ ■Non-Flame Retardant Grades 180 to 240℃ General injection molding machines can be used, but it is recommended to select a machine with a cylinder or screw that has less residence at the head. Avoid using shutoff nozzles for flame-retardant grades because shear heating may cause plastics to burn or gas to be generated.
Mold Temperature	■20 to 60℃ (Recommended) Mold temperatures will change the degree of crystallinity of molded products, affecting dimensional stability, mechanical strength, appearance, etc. It is recommended to use an insulation plate to stabilize the mold temperature.
Other	When stopping molding temporarily, lower the cylinder temperature to 160 to 180°C. When restarting, discard 2 to 5 shots. At the end of molding or when it is interrupted for a long time, replace the inside of the cylinder with PP or PE. After molding, perform rust prevention measures such as wiping cloth and applying rust-preventing material to the mold. Do not allow flame-retardant grades to reside in the molding machine for 30 minutes or longer or use hot runners because plastics may burn or gas may be generated.
