What is Idemitsu Art Award?

The Idemitsu Art Award is an open art award that will celebrate its 54th anniversary in 2025.
Founded in 1956 as the Shell Art Award, it was renamed the Idemitsu Art Award in 2022.
This is an art award for young artists who will lead the next generation, and since its inception, it has been run through a completely open application system. It is now highly regarded in the art world as a "gateway to success for young artists."
One of the pillars of our corporate citizenship activities is "culture," which fosters spiritual richness. Through the Idemitsu Art Award, we will continue to support the creativity, challenges, and energy for growth of those who will lead the next generation.

Exhibition information

Period	Wednesday, December 10, 2025 - Monday, December 22, 2025 *Closed on the 16th (Tue)
hours	10:00 to 18:00 (last admission 17:30) On the final day, Monday 22nd, the museum will be open until 4:00pm (last admission 3:30pm). Open until 8:00 p.m. on Fridays (last admission 7:30 p.m.)
venue	The National Art Center, Tokyo 1st floor exhibition room 1B (7-22-2 Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo)
