About Advanced Materials Company
Purpose of establishment
As the business environment surrounding our company undergoes major changes, we established Advanced Materials Company with the aim of shifting from the traditional division-based management to a strategy planning and operation that oversees the entire group of related businesses. In order to transform into a business entity that can flexibly respond to change, we have established a technology-based management system, and through autonomous company management that can make swift and accurate decisions, we are working to quickly build a new business model for the Advanced Materials business and create new value.
System and management
Advanced Materials Company includes Innovation Strategy Department, which has corporate planning functions such as deciding on overall strategies, as well as business divisions that handle various materials, and major affiliated companies such as Idemitsu Unitech, which manufactures and sells processed plastic products, and SDS Biotech, which operates Pesticides/Functional feed businesses. Together with the corporate divisions, Advanced Technology Research Laboratories and the Intellectual Property Department, we will work together and operate in an integrated manner in the planning of strategies for research and development and intellectual property.
