Tokuyama Complex

Tokuyama Complex

Tokuyama Complex began operations in 1957 as Idemitsu's first Refinery, and seven years later, a petrochemical plant was constructed on an adjacent site. In 2014, it ceased oil refining operations in compliance with the Law for the Advancement of Energy Supply Structure.
Currently, we supply petrochemical raw materials such as ethylene to companies in the Shunan industrial complex and chemical manufacturers both domestically and internationally. We are also challenging ourselves with new businesses aimed at achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, such as biomass power generation, which began commercial operation in 2023. Moving forward, Tokuyama Complex will continue to be a part of the local community, maintaining safe and stable operations, and striving to become Complex that is essential to the local community.
