33rd Idemitsu Music Award winners decided

The Idemitsu Music Award is a music award sponsored by Idemitsu Kosan Co.,Ltd., which was established in 1990 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the TV program "Untitled Concert Concert," which began broadcasting in 1964. The award has primarily been given to up-and-coming classical musicians, with an emphasis on motivation, talent, and future potential from the perspective of nurturing.
As a result of the selection process, the winners of the 33rd Idemitsu Music Awards were selected to be Saki Tozawa (violin), Hina Maeda (violin), and Keigo Tsugawa (piano). Each winner will receive a certificate and a prize of 3 million yen.
The award ceremony and the "Idemitsu Music Award Winners Gala Concert" (date and venue to be determined) will be held in the future, and the event will be broadcast on TV Asahi's "Untitled Concert Concert." Details of the concert will be announced as soon as they are decided.
Through this music award, we will continue to contribute to the development of promising young and emerging musicians and to the advancement of music culture.

Saki Tozawaとざわ さき (Violin/22 years old)

戸澤 采紀

Born February 22, 2001 in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo.
The youngest winner of the 85th Japan Music Competition, 2nd place (highest place) at the Tibor Varga International Violin Competition, 1st place at the Poser Foundation Competition, 1st place at the Peter Ronefeld Prize Competition, and semi-finalist at the Indianapolis International Violin Competition.
So far, he has studied violin with Naori Tamai, Gerard Poulet, Yoko Yasui, Dong-suk Kang, and Masafumi Hori, and chamber music with Koichiro Harada. Furthermore, in a master class, he was mentored by Leonidas Kavakos, Vadim Repin, and Anna Chumachenko.
Received the Oleg Kagan Memorial Fund Scholarship at the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival. Ezoe Memorial Recruit Foundation 48th scholarship recipient. 2019 Tokyo University of the Arts Soji Tokuji Scholarship recipient. 2021 Aoyama Music Foundation scholarship recipient. 2023 ROHM Music Foundation Scholarship recipient. Received the 33rd Aoyama Music Award Newcomer Award in 2023.
In January 2022, her debut album “Kaenori Tozawa IN CONCERT” was released and won a special selection at Record Geijutsu. Appeared on BS TV Tokyo's "Enter the Music" and NHK FM's "Recital Nova."
So far, he has performed with the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, Lübeck Philharmonic Orchestra, NHK Symphony Orchestra, Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, and Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra. He has performed with domestic and international orchestras such as , Gunma Symphony Orchestra, and Okayama Philharmonic Orchestra.
The instrument used is Matteo Goffriller, which is lent by Beare's International Violin Society in cooperation with Bunkyo Gakki.
After entering Tokyo University of the Arts, he moved to Germany in the fall of 2021 and is currently studying under Daniel Zepek at the Lübeck University of Music.

Hina Maedaまえだ ひな (Violin/21 years old)

前田 妃奈

Born September 12, 2002 in Toyonaka City, Osaka Prefecture.
An up-and-coming violinist who won the 16th Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition in 2022 and is attracting international attention. He also won four special awards at the Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition: the Wieniawski Concerto Prize, the Caprice Prize, the Sonata Prize, and the Beethoven Brahms Works Prize.
Started playing the violin at the age of 4. After graduating from Tokyo College of Music High School, he is currently attending Tokyo College of Music as a special scholarship student. Currently studying under Machie Oguri, Koichiro Harada, and Mayuko Kamio.
2013 67th All Japan Student Music Competition National Competition Elementary School Division 1st Place, 2019 88th Japan Music Competition 2nd Place and Iwatani Award (Audience Award), 2020 18th Tokyo Music Competition String Section 1st Place He has a distinguished history of awards including the Audience Award and Audience Award. In addition, he has won numerous awards at domestic and international competitions, auditions, and master classes, including first place at the Kloster-Schönthal International Violin Competition, the Kronberg Academy Scholarship Award, the Kirishima International Music Festival Award, and the Matsukata Hall Music Award Encouragement Award.
Starting with the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of 11, he has performed with the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, and others. He is also actively involved in recitals, chamber music, and outreach. 2020/2021 CHANEL Pygmalion Days participating artists.
From 2022 to 2023, he will give recitals and perform with orchestras in 20 countries and 60 regions around the world, including Tokyo and Osaka.

Keigo Mukawaむかわ けいご (Piano/30 years old)

務川 慧悟

Born April 9, 1993 in Tokai City, Aichi Prefecture.
In 2021, he won 3rd place at the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition, one of the world's three major competitions.
In 2019, he won 2nd place at the Long-Thibault-Crepin International Competition, France's most prestigious competition.
He has attracted a lot of attention after winning top prizes in two international competitions with a long history and tradition, and is currently active in a wide range of performances, including solo performances, collaborations with orchestras, and chamber music, based in Japan and Europe.
Their repertoire is wide-ranging, from baroque to contemporary music, and they are well-regarded for their performances that explore the stylistic beauty of each era and composer, and for their diverse tones. He is also working on research on playing methods not only on modern pianos but also on fortepianos.
They will hold four consecutive performances in 2022 and five consecutive nights in 2023 at Hamarikyu Asahi Hall, and while all performances are sold out, they continue to try new things and take on new challenges.
In 2012, during his first year at Tokyo University of the Arts, he began his full-scale performance career after winning first place at the 81st Japan Music Competition. In 2014, he was accepted into the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris as the top of the jury unanimously, and went to France, where he completed the third course of piano (Diplôme d'Artiste Interprète) and chamber music, and is currently enrolled in the fortepiano department of the Conservatory. , has been studying hard.
So far, he has performed at concerts and music festivals throughout Japan, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Latvia, Germany, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, China, Taiwan, and South Korea, as well as the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo He has performed with the Philharmonic Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Prague Philharmonia Orchestra, the French National Orchestra and the Orchester National de Lorraine in France, and the Belgian National Orchestra and the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra in Belgium.
Studied under Frank Braley, Haruko Ueda, Theodor Paraskivesco, Yukio Yokoyama, Susumu Aoyagi, Jan Schrem, Patrick Cohen, and Daria Fedeeva.
In 2022, “Ravel: Complete Piano Works” will be released. This album will be released in Europe in February 2024.
