Chiba Prefecture Starts the "One Teacher a Week Program" with the Matsudo City Board of Education - Dispatching employees to junior high schools in the city to help solve various issues surrounding school education and "exercise their abilities and individuality" -
Idemitsu Kosan Co.,Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shunichi Kito; hereinafter referred to as "the Company") will be collaborating with the Matsudo City Board of Education (Chiba Prefecture; Superintendent of Education: Junichi Ito) to fully launch the "Once a Week Teacher Program" from September, in which the Company's employees will be dispatched to junior high schools in the city once a week.
In the "One Teacher a Week Program," our employees are dispatched to junior high schools in the city for a limited period of about three months, during which they will utilize their own experience and skills to tackle a variety of issues related to school education, such as conducting special classes, supporting regular classes, reforming working styles for teachers and staff, and improving work efficiency.
A trial of this initiative was conducted for approximately three months from May to July at Matsudo City Daiichi Junior High School (Principal: Yasuhiro Nishikawa). As a result of the trial, we determined that the program is expected to create new value and improve business operations in school education settings, and that it is an effective program for the growth of dispatched employees, so we will begin the program in earnest. It is an advanced initiative for employees of private companies to be dispatched to public junior high schools for a certain period of time to become involved in school education.

The purpose of this initiative is to provide an opportunity for the Matsudo City Board of Education to organize its own curriculum and improve operations based on new ideas and specialized knowledge, while referring to examples of initiatives by private companies. That's what I mean.
