Newly developed oil "E AXLE and Electric Parts Cooling Oil" that can be used in EV/HEV drive units, electronic equipment, and battery systems - Contributing to lower costs and higher performance of vehicles by simplifying the cooling circuit -
Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Shunichi Kito, hereinafter referred to as the "Company") manufactures drive units such as e-Axle* for electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid vehicles (HEVs). We have developed "E AXLE and Electric Parts Cooling Oil", an oil that can be used in electronic equipment and battery systems. For EVs and HEVs, we offer a lineup of six categories of products, including the newly developed oil, depending on the application, and provide comprehensive support for electric technology.
The e-Axle, which is increasingly being adopted in EVs and HEVs, consists of a motor, power control unit (PCU), and reduction gear. Traditionally, e-Axles have required oil to have motor cooling properties and reducer lubrication properties, but we have expanded the scope of oil cooling not only to motors, but also to other electronic devices such as batteries and PCUs. We have developed "E AXLE and Electric Parts Cooling Oil" which provides direct cooling.
EV/HEV motors, electronic devices, batteries, gears, bearings, etc. require cooling and lubrication to maintain performance. Designs using multiple media such as cooling water (LLC), e-Axle oil, or battery cooling oil are being considered for the cooling medium in various parts of EVs and HEVs, but it is assumed that the problem will be that the system circuit will become complicated. will be done. We developed "E AXLE and Electric Parts Cooling Oil" with the aim of simplifying cooling circuits at development sites to reduce the number of parts, secure indoor space, and standardize oil types.
In the future, we will strengthen our proposal and sales as a product for domestic and foreign automobile manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers (first-tier suppliers who deal directly with manufacturers).

With the aim of realizing a decarbonized society, the electrification of vehicles such as EVs and HEVs is being promoted worldwide.In order to simplify and improve vehicle systems, mechanisms and parts are becoming more energy-saving, quieter, smaller, and more compact. Various factors and advances are required, such as weight reduction.
In addition to "E AXLE and Electric parts Cooling Oil", we have newly developed "IDEMITSU NANOUREA" grease for motor spindles, hub bearings and ball joints, and "IDEMITSU Original Shock Absorber Fluid" for shock absorbers. These are specialized in the high quietness, energy saving, and low friction characteristics that are required because they are electric without engine noise.
The "IDEMITSU E AXLE FLUID" series of exclusive oils for e-Axle, which is currently being developed, includes "IDEMITSU E AXLE FLUID TYPE-G-LV" for reducers, which has high energy-saving performance, and "IDEMITSU E", which specializes in compatibility with motor materials. AXLE FLUID TYPE-C-MV" and IDEMITSU E AXLE FLUID TYPE-C-FE, which can be used for both motor cooling and gear lubrication and have high energy-saving performance. Furthermore, we have added a new lineup of oils for refrigerant gas pressure delivery compressors, the "DAPHNE HERMETIC OIL SERIES," which is compatible with a variety of refrigerants and systems.
