Regarding the establishment of a company for advanced materials (high value-added materials) business in South Korea

In order to realize carbon neutrality society by 2050, our company has set forth Vision for 2030 `` Your Reliable Partner for a Brighter Future'' and Vision for 2050 `` Shaping Change.'' In Medium-term Management Plan announced last November (target year: 2023-2025), in the advanced materials field, we will strengthen our development, manufacturing, and sales systems to meet customer needs, expand our business, and implement various energy saving initiatives. We aim to contribute to the realization of a recycling-oriented society through the provision of materials that lead to Resources Resources and provide for society.

Based on the above policy, we will further strengthen collaboration with Korean global companies that lead in advanced technology fields such as next-generation batteries, high-speed communications/next-generation displays, and environmentally friendly materials, and develop advanced materials that accurately capture customer needs. Idemitsu Advanced Materials Korea Co., Ltd. was established to accelerate research and development and strengthen the marketing system.
Idemitsu Advanced Materials Korea Co., Ltd. will establish a research and development center and marketing department in Osan, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, to create a system that can more quickly respond to customer needs. Going forward, we will utilize this company to deepen our collaboration with Korean companies and academia.
