Idemitsu Establishes Advanced Materials (highly-functional materials) Company in South Korea

当社は、2050年カーボンニュートラル社会の実現に向け、2030年ビジョン「責任ある変革者」、2050年ビジョン「変革をカタチに」を掲げています。昨年11月に発表した中期経営計画（対象年度：2023～2025年度） において、先進マテリアル分野では、お客様のニーズに応えるべく開発・製造・販売体制を強化し、事業拡大を進めるとともに、多様な省資源・資源循環に繋がる素材提供と社会実装を通じた循環型社会実現への貢献を目指しています。

Based on the above policy, Idemitsu established Idemitsu Advanced Materials Korea Co., Ltd. The purposes of establishing this new company are to further strengthen cooperation with South Korean global companies that are leaders in advanced technology fields, such as next-generation batteries, high-speed communications, next-generation displays, and environmentally friendly materials, and to accelerate the research and development of advanced materials that accurately meet customer needs and strengthen the marketing system.
Idemitsu Advanced Materials Korea Co., Ltd. will establish an R&D center and marketing division in Osan, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, to create a system to respond more quickly to customer needs. Going forward, Idemitsu will use the new company to deepen its collaboration with Korean companies and academia.
