Under these circumstances, the legume ``pongamia'', which is distributed in Southeast Asia and Oceania, is a non-edible oil source tree with high oil yield efficiency, and is expected to be used as a raw material for SAF.

Idemitsu Kosan and J-Oil Mills announced on February 1, 2023 that they will work together to consider building a biomass business, such as SAF production by securing bio raw materials, plastic recycling, and the use of biochemicals, in order to realize a circular economy.
