What is Idemitsu Art Award?

The Idemitsu Art Award is an open-call art award that will be held for the 55th time in 2026.
Established in 1956 as the Shell Art Award, it was renamed the Idemitsu Art Award in 2022.
This art award is for young artists who will lead the next generation, and it has been conducted entirely through open submissions since its inception. Currently, it is highly regarded in the art world as a "gateway to success for young artists."
One of the pillars of our corporate social responsibility activities is "culture," which fosters richness of spirit. We will continue to support the creativity, challenges, and growth energy of the next generation through the "Idemitsu Art Award."

Exhibition information

Period	Wednesday, December 9, 2026 - Monday, December 21, 2026 *Closed on Tuesday, the 15th.
hours	10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Last entry 5:30 PM) On the final day, Monday the 21st, the museum will be open until 4:00 PM (last entry at 3:30 PM). The museum is scheduled to be open until 8:00 PM on Fridays (last entry at 7:30 PM).
venue	The National Art Center, Tokyo 1st floor exhibition room 1B (7-22-2 Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo)
