■About SEGES
SEGES is a system that evaluates and certifies that the good green spaces created by companies and their daily activities towards their maintenance and development contribute to society and the environment. There are three series: "Growing Green,'' "Urban Oasis,'' and "Creating Green.'' "Growing Green'' is a system that certifies excellent conservation and creation activities of green spaces (300 m2 or more) owned by private businesses.
"Growing Green" is a green space that has been certified by SEGES for more than 10 years, a green space that has been awarded the "Superlative Stage", the highest of five stages, three times in a row, and has been recognized for its achievements such as serving as a model for other companies. The green areas that are considered as green spaces will be considered for the Green Hall of Fame.
■Reasons for Aichi Complex 's Certification
At our Refineries/Complexes, we strive to be in harmony with the natural environment, including by installing green belts, and Aichi Complex was certified as Superlative Stage in 2016. This time, efforts to improve the health of the forest cycle within the Greenbelt through the removal of invasive species, conversion of native species, and formation of canopy gaps, as well as efforts to restore the ecosystem network in collaboration with the government and students, have been announced as part of the Superlative Stage. ” has been maintained, developed, and deepened over many years, and has been highly evaluated as contributing greatly to improving the value of green spaces, and has been certified as a "Green Hall of Fame.'' This is the 10th corporate green space in Japan to be certified as a Green Hall of Fame, and the first for a Motouri Refinery in Japan.
Our company will continue to engage in green space activities that contribute to the local environment.
