In anticipation of the structural decline in domestic petroleum product demand and the growth of petrochemicals market due to economic growth in Asia, we are working on refining/chemical integration. In order to improve the competitiveness and maximize the value of the entire group Refinery, with the aim of utilizing volatile oil fractions more than ever before for the production and supply of high-value-added petrochemical feedstocks, the transfer of petrochemicals manufacturing facilities at the ENEOS Chita Facility based on the transfer (acquisition) agreement concluded with ENEOS Complex (President and CEO: Takeshi Saito, hereinafter ENEOS) in October 2021 was completed as scheduled on October 1st of this year. As a result, we have changed the name of Refinery and started integrated operation with a one Complex two district system.

The opening ceremony, attended by plant personnel and partner companies, included guest speeches, a ribbon cutting, and a commemorative photograph. In his speech, the plant director declared that "The oil industry is in a period of great change, and this initiative, which embodies the deepening of the integration of oil and petrochemicals, is the first step in overcoming this. We will work responsibly to create the coming carbon-neutral, recycling-oriented society, and we would like to unite the two Aichi Complex districts in our aspirations to contribute to the development of the region and enrich people's lives." He declared that through the new start of Aichi Complex, the plant will continue to contribute to the stable supply of energy and materials and the development of the region.
