Idemitsu Kosan Co.,Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and Chief Executive Officer: Shunichi Kito; hereinafter referred to as "Idemitsu") held an online concert program “Mirai wo Kanaderu Ongakukai” under the theme of "Though we can't meet, we can still connect” for the purpose of supporting musical experiences of young people for the next generation. The number of views exceeded 6,700.

Due to COVID-19, we have canceled this year's “Mirai wo Kanaderu Ongakukai” concerts scheduled to take place at various parts of Japan. Instead, we held online concerts (free) from Saturday, February 27 to Sunday, March 7 under the theme of "Though we can't meet, we can still connect."
This online concert program Suite "The Carnival of Animals" performed by Mr. Kyohei Sorita (pianist) and the MLM National Orchestra as well as "Goin’ Home” - Toki Yamani Hiwa Ochite - in which a chorus collaboration that combined audio videos from 108 people and the performance of the MLM National Orchestra was performed.
Idemitsu will support young people's challenges and growth, and opportunities for demonstrating their abilities through the concerts.

● Mirai wo Kanaderu Ongakukai (Music events hosted by Idemitsu Kosan)
We have held concerts since 2006, mainly in regions where we have established refineries and complexes. In fiscal 2017, the concert program was reimagined as “Portraying the Future in Music,” with the aim of supporting musical experiences for the future generations in part by providing opportunities for young musicians to showcase their talents and for local students to perform with professional musicians.
