Announcement of opening of "Chiba Kita Hydrogen Station"
Idemitsu Kosan Co.,Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Shunichi Kito, hereinafter referred to as "the Company") today opened and commenced operations at the Chiba Kita Hydrogen Station in Hanamigawa Ward, Chiba City.

Since 2016, we have been commercializing and operating the "Narita Hydrogen Station" on the grounds of Narita Airport. The Chiba Kita Hydrogen Station, which opened today, is our second commercial hydrogen station.
This hydrogen station is a joint venture between Japan Hydrogen Station Network LLC (abbreviated as "JHyM") and our company. In response to the project being selected for the "Hydrogen Supply Facility Installation Subsidy Project for Battery-powered Vehicles", we have proceeded with construction in Hanamigawa Ward, Chiba City.
Idemitsu is considering various initiatives with the aim of becoming carbon neutral (net zero CO2 emissions), and this hydrogen station will use electricity from 100% renewable energy under the "Premium Zero Plan" * provided by Idemitsu Green Power K.K. (President and CEO: Junichi Yoshida), a wholly owned subsidiary of Idemitsu.
Through the operation of hydrogen stations, we will accumulate technical and business knowledge and contribute to the realization of carbon neutrality society.
*A plan that combines a 100% renewable energy power source including FIT electricity with a non-fossil certificate with tracking, making it essentially 100% renewable energy.
