At Idemitsu Kosan, refueling stations (gas stations) are called service station (SS). Our service station not only provide refueling services, but also provide a variety of other services such as car washes, vehicle inspections, and maintenance. Our company has approximately 6,000 service station and ranks second in domestic market share. We will begin switching brands in 2021, and all service station will become "apollostation'' in December 2023. We will continue to fulfill our responsibility to provide a stable supply of energy that is essential to daily life.
Smart Yorozuya (transformation of apollostation)
service stasion are important bases that are essential to people's lives. However, due to climate change and technological innovation, domestic fuel demand has decreased, and the number of service stasion in the country has been reduced to half of its peak. Furthermore, if service stasion decreases, it will become difficult to fulfill the responsibility of supplying fuel. In this environment, we have established the ''Smart Yorozuya Initiative'' in order to maintain a supply base for the energy that is essential to people's lives. What is the "Smart Yorozuya Initiative"? apollostation will serve as a "lifestyle support hub that connects people and the town", and will not only provide services such as refueling and car care, but also respond to local characteristics and needs and become a base that supports people's lives. One-time shop for energy
One-time shop for energy is a Yorozuya that fulfills its responsibility to supply petroleum, biofuels, electricity, hydrogen, synthetic fuel, distributed energy, etc. One model that has already been implemented is "apollostation Type Green."
apollostation Type Green is an environmentally friendly service stasion that utilizes CLT wood. We expect that the use of wood will fix CO₂ and that the use of domestically produced wood will revitalize the forestry industry. In addition, apollostation Type Green has installed solar panels to reduce commercial power usage through solar power generation, while also contributing to the decarbonization of service stasion by installing EV quick chargers. We plan to open 30 facilities by 2025.
One-time shop for mobility
"One-time shop for mobility" will meet potential mobility needs by offering a diverse lineup of mobility products, including ultra-compact EVs and drones. In addition to developing and providing mobility vehicles, the company will also develop new subscription and car-sharing models, and develop MaaS-related services.
One model that has already been implemented is "apolloONE." "apolloONE" is a specialty store that specializes in mobility services. It is a new type of service station that responds with high levels of expertise to needs such as car washing, car coating, car sharing, rental cars, vehicle inspections, bodywork, maintenance, and car sales and purchases. Approximately 250 stores are scheduled to open by 2030.

"One-time shop for Community" aims to support the enriched lives of local communities and provides a wide range of products and services related to lifestyle and health.

Our company, which operates service station all over the country, uses our experience in store development to propose more advantageous ways to utilize land effectively.
We are also working to prevent soil contamination by using double-shell tanks and resin piping that have excellent corrosion resistance.
