Excellent Driving Performance

The graphs below show the degree to which Idemitsu's TDF changes in performance during fleet tests.

The traction coefficient, which is the most important factor, has almost no change during the 120,000 kilometers driven. Similarly, there is no change in viscosity. Normally, the viscosity decreases due to shear.

Although oxidation degradation increases the total acid number, again, TDF demonstrates a resistance to change, showing that TDF is very stable under driving conditions.

Practical Performance

These results confirm that TDF operates with superior performance in actual conditions. At Idemitsu, we continue to investigate new technologies to ever push the boundaries of chemistry and physics to bring superior lubricants for use in engines with a continually variable transmission and other applications.
