What are chemical pesticides and biological pesticides?
The role of pesticides in food production
The world's population has been increasing since the latter half of the 20th century, and the need to increase food production is increasing as the population increases. In order to increase food production, it is necessary to develop new farmland and improve the productivity of existing farmland, but cultivating farmland requires a huge amount of money and is also difficult from the perspective of preserving the ecosystem. It is located in Pesticides are used as a means to improve food productivity on existing farmland to prevent yield losses caused by pests and weeds.
chemical pesticides

Chemical pesticides are agricultural materials that contain chemically synthesized organic or inorganic compounds as active ingredients. In recent years, chemical pesticides have improved in performance, demonstrating excellent effects even in small quantities, which has reduced the environmental impact of pesticide application and increased the efficiency and labor-saving in agricultural work.
Our group offers key products such as "Daconil" as a fungicide, "Benzobicyclon" as a herbicide for rice, "Kanemite" and "Nemakick" as insecticides, and "Basamid" as a soil disinfectant. These products support various agricultural fields, including rice, fruit trees, and vegetables. Daconil has no reported incidents of pesticide-resistant bacteria, making it a long-selling product used for over 50 years. Benzobicyclon has been recognized for its excellent efficacy against herbicide-resistant and hard-to-control weeds, and we are continuously working on overseas expansion in addition to our domestic efforts. Kanemite is a mite control agent that is friendly to beneficial insects, Nemakick is a nematode control agent with long-lasting effectiveness regardless of nematode type, and Basamid is a soil disinfectant effective against a wide range of soil-borne diseases, nematodes, and weeds. We are also conducting technical dissemination activities to tackle with problems in production sites. Additionally, we offer a wide range of products, including agents for golf course turf and non-agricultural land.
biological pesticides

Biological pesticides are agricultural biological control materials that contain microorganisms, insects, etc. as active ingredients.
Pesticides that contain microorganisms as active ingredients can act only on target pests, have little effect on non-target organisms, and are less likely to develop resistance in pests.
Pesticides that contain insects as active ingredients are products made from living insects, which are the natural enemies of the target pests.
Our group handles biopesticides, insecticides, and fungicides, making use of the fermentation production technology (bio-manufacturing) that we have cultivated over the years to efficiently culture and produce microorganisms.
