Antibacterial testing
We check the antibacterial effect of products such as textiles and plastics based on the evaluation methods established by the Japan Textile Evaluation Technology Council and the Society of Industrial Technology for Antimicrobial Articles.
- Test for evaluating antibacterial performance of textile products (JIS L 1902, Testing for antibacterial activity and efficacy on textile products)
- Test for evaluating antibacterial performance of plastic products etc. (JIS Z 2801)
Antifungal testing-Idemitsu 20 microorganism method-
The Idemitsu 20 microorganism method is Idemitsu Technofine's proprietary antifungal test. Fungus spores are sprayed onto the material, and then we check effectiveness in suppressing fungal growth.

Twenty types of fungi generally seen in living environments have been selected by referring to the JIS Z 2911 fungus resistance test.
