Product planning process

When a customer makes an inquiry, we first send pamphlets, technical documentation and samples of Idemitsu Technofine's functional materials so they can consider whether our materials are suitable for their planned product.

When a customer is interested, we talk directly with them, explain in detail the basic performance of the functional material they are interested in, and discuss the advantages to the customer (in terms of function, cost and quality) of using the material, while presenting actual examples of use.

We conduct product design of a functional product or material (leather textile product, functional compound etc.) conforming to the product being planned by the customer. Then we prototype the product for testing by the customer, and provide samples.

In order to confirm the added value of the proposed product, we conduct Idemitsu's unique differentiation evaluation to examine comfort and function under actual use conditions. We also propose methods for the customer to appeal to ordinary consumers using the new function.

To enable use of the proposed product with safety and peace of mind, we conduct stringent inspection and property evaluation using sophisticated analysis and evaluation technology, and together with the customer we determine delivery standards for quality based on the evaluation results.

As soon as we get final confirmation from the customer and they make a formal order, we begin preparing for mass production. We responsibly and reliably deliver the product after discussing details on the delivery period and method with the customer.
