History

Since 1986, when Idemitsu first developed new materials by combining natural protein powder with artificial materials, we have been providing functional materials with outstanding features by exploiting our composite technology. In response to the trend toward global procurement, we are licensing our protein leather technology to manufacturers overseas.
1986 Processed Product Division of Idemitsu Petrochemical began protein PJ

2001 Concluded technology licensing agreement for PROTEIN LEATHER with CGT Limited (Canada)
2003 Concluded technology licensing agreement for PROTEIN LEATHER with Scientex Co. (Malaysia)

2005 Began marketing KOHKINMASTER antibacterial, antifungal agent
