Oil Exploration and Production
Our six Norwegian oil fields produce 31,200 barrels per day of crude oil equivalent. To secure a stable supply, Idemitsu is actively exploring oil reserves in Norway, the UK and Southeast Asia.
Idemitsu produces approximately 10 million tons of coal annually at four coal mines through its Australian subsidiaries.
Uranium Mining and Exploration
Idemitsu owns an interest in the Cigar Lake Joint Venture in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. This is one of the largest uranium development projects in the world.
Idemitsu has demonstrated the effectiveness of steam power generation at its Takigami Power Station where it produces electricity for the Kyushu Electric Power Company.
