Along with petroleum, natural gas and atomic energy, coal is one of the world´s primary sources of energy. Global coal reserves are estimated to be more than 800 billion tons. And the reserve to production ratio estimates that the coal supply should last 130 years or more. Idemitsu owns an interest in four Australian mines (Ensham, Muswellbrook, Boggabri and Tarrawonga), thus doing its part to ensure a stable supply of energy.
