I-MARV™ is Idemitsu's groundbreaking tackifier resin. It has proven excellent for hot-melt and pressure sensitive adhesives, and functions as a polyolefin resin modifier. I-MARV™ is extremely transparent, has excellent thermal stability and no odor. It also boasts excellent compatibility with base resins and elastomers.

Exclusively created based on polymerization and hydrogenation technologies developed by Idemitsu over decades of research. I-MARV™ displays a balanced performance in terms of heat and cold resistance as well as adhesive properties as a tackifier when used as a hot-melt adhesive. Because is also compatible with polypropylene, its transparency, rigidity, and vapor barrier characteristics are improved when added to a bipolar oriented or BOPP film.

We gathered the above information referring to CMC Publishing Co., Ltd.

I-MARV™ is available in partially hydrogenated S-grades, fully hydrogenated P-grades and intermediate type Y-grades. Because they are so broadly applicable, a wide selection of specific S- and P-grades are available to suit individual customer needs and applications.
