P.T. Idemitsu Lube Techno Indonesia ("Idemitsu Lube Techno Indonesia"), a 90% owned subsidiary of Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Akihiko Tembo), decided to increase its production capacity significantly by 2.5 times.
Idemitsu Lube Techno Indonesia has started its production as a lubricant blending plant since 2005, and been now supplying mainly engine oils for motorcycles and automobiles, and industrial lubricants to P.T. Idemitsu Lube Indonesia, a wholly owned local sales subsidiary of Idemitsu Kosan, and P.T. Atlas, a local business partner of Idemitsu Lube Techno Indonesia.
Idemitsu Lube Techno Indonesia is going to bolster its production capacity to 65,000 Kℓ, an increase by 2.5 times from the current capacity of 25,000 Kℓ, by October 2010 through investing a total amount of US$13.5 million (about ¥1,300 million) in its blend tanks and filling machines.
In Indonesia, demand for high performance lubricants including engine oils for motorcycles is expected to grow further in the future. With the reinforced production capacity mentioned above, Idemitsu Lube Techno Indonesia is aiming to enhance its supply capacity and sell annually 63,000 Kℓ of lubricants by 2015.
In fiscal 2008, Idemitsu Kosan sold about 330,000 Kℓ of lubricants in over 40 countries around the world, having universally the same quality. The company continues to establish its manufacturing and sales structures as the No. 1 Japanese lubricants manufacturer and aims to reinforce and expand business by promoting overseas business , mainly in newly emerging countries where demand is expected to further increase.
